SACR Welcomes Paul Webber as Cybersecurity Industry Analyst

We are excited to welcome Paul Webber as Cybersecurity Principal Industry Analyst at Software Analyst Cyber Research (SACR). As part of the SACR analyst team, Paul will conduct research and develop frameworks across emerging technologies, threat landscapes, and cybersecurity ecosystems, specializing in Identity Security, Cloud Security, AI-SOC, and broader Platform Security, with upcoming work on a new framework for AI and Agentic Risk Management.

Paul Webber brings a unique combination of practitioner experience, analyst insight, and advisory expertise. He has served as Senior Product Management Director at BlackBerry, where he helped shape cybersecurity product and services strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market planning. He previously served as Information Security Capability Manager at Unilever and held Product Manager and Security Architect roles at AstraZeneca. Across his practitioner career, he has worked across security controls, policies, cloud and digital transformation, identity and access management, SOC tools, incident response, regulatory controls, and global security frameworks.

Paul also spent more than three years at Gartner as a Senior Director, advising CISOs and security leaders globally while working with leading security vendors on product and go-to-market strategy.

At SACR, Paul will leverage his deep, multi-faceted experience to provide clear guidance to security leaders and vendors alike. His background in building and leading enterprise-level security programs will serve as a strong foundation in producing research grounded in the realities and priorities of modern security teams.

In addition to producing timely reports, Paul will engage in vendor advisory and lead webinars for SACR customers. Having previously nurtured start-ups from stealth, through rapid growth, and on to success, Paul brings a strong perspective to help vendors understand market demand, buyer pain points, category maturity, competitive dynamics, how to build brands, and grow mindshare.

We look forward to the perspective Paul will bring to SACR’s research and to the security leaders and vendors we support.

Welcome to SACR, Paul!
